Tara Ross has been a lawyer helping those in need for over 13 years, and a Nurse caring for patients for more than 20 years. This unique combination of skills, training, and background that makes her an ideal person to help you navigate through the Veterans Affairs and Military Disability system.
Tara graduated from the University of Maryland School Nursing School to become a registered nurse, and began working in Emergency Rooms doing critical and trauma care. She has cared for patients under the most stressful of situations, and has seen every medical condition, from cuts and bruises, the effects of chronic illness, to catastrophic injuries.
After graduating from law school in 2005, Tara has dedicated her legal career to helping clients with legal health law needs much the same way she dedicated her nursing career to those needing physical care. Using her knack for listening and finding the heart of an individual in their story, she has focused her practice on Veterans Disability claims, Social Security claims and eldercare coordination.
Veteran’s law combines her experience in health care law and her nursing background and passion for making a difference in people’s lives. Tara’s nursing background gives her the unique ability to understand your medical records and medical history, and translate that into a legal case.
Tara has been active in the community for many years. After teaching at Johns Hopkins University for years, she is a member of the Maryland State Bar Leadership Academy, currently serves on Maryland State Bar Ethics Committee and is the nurse member of the Lawyer Assistance Program of the Maryland State Bar.
